Betty and Lee Tafoya were a husband and wife team that made excellent traditional Santa Clara pottery. Lee was full Santa Clara and Betty was an Anglo women and was taught by Lee and other Santa Clara potters on how to make traditional Santa Clara pottery. She is one of the only Anglo women that have learned directly on how to make traditional pottery. Lee was the son of the great Santa Clara potter Margaret Tafoya. Lee passed away in 1996 and Betty in 1988.
